Tartan Trews are renowned for their important role in Scottish Highland Dress. The Kilt gets the majority of the attention but Tartan trews are becoming increasingly popular. They were traditionally worn to very formal events, but Military Trews are worn now by many different people from all walks of life. They are seen by many as a perfect alternative to the Kilt, as their high waisted finish gives them the formal look, but they are much lighter than any Kilt.
