The Argyll Jacket is another one of Scotland's most popular Highland Dress garments. It is classified as Semi-Dress, which makes it perfect for smart events that are not too Formal. Traditionally worn as Morning Dress, the Argyll Jacket has become a popular jacket worn at most events you can think of, from casual events to even formal events. Its smart looks ensure it does not look out of place at a formal gathering. The Argyll Jacket has even been adopted by the majority of Pipe bands across the globe as it is renowned for its smart but practical looks. The traditional Argyll jacket is made entirely from Barathea wool and generally has a single button to fasten. The epaulettes are usually flat, plain cloth and the sleeves are generally Gauntlet cuff. However many Argyll jackets now feature a crail cuff, which is a single button. Our Argyll Jacket can also be purchased with a 5 button waistcoat, which makes the outfit a bit more versatile. You can then either wear a plain coloured neck tie, a cravat, or even a bow tie if you wish, depending on the event. Our Made to Measure jackets are all made individually from scratch by our Scottish Tailors. This process takes around 6 weeks to complete, so there is a waiting period involved.
